By combining an organic facing and feramic facing, they were able to combine the best of both worlds: great holding power up to 1000 pound feet of torque, with good street manners. This South Bend Organic / Feramic clutch is a great clutch for trucks with moderate performance upgrades and ideally suited to modified trucks that haul and daily drive, yet still like to play a little.
Feramic is a sintered iron clutch facing that has graphite impregnated into it. It has more holding power than ceramic; its engagement is much smoother than ceramic and won't eat up the flywheel like ceramic.
